October 3 – Former Senator and Sullivan County Sheriff John Waterman seeks to have the Indiana thirty eighth District Senate seat vacated by John Ford.

Ford introduced that he would resign efficient October 16.

A gathering of eligible regional committee members shall be held at 10 a.m. Saturday within the Northview Excessive Faculty auditorium, 3150 W. Indiana 340, Brazil.

The winner will serve the rest of Ford’s time period from 2023-2026.

Waterman served as sheriff of Sullivan County from 1986 to 1994. He served within the Indiana State Senate representing the thirty ninth District from 1995 to 2014.

Joe Elsener, govt director of the Indiana Republican Occasion, confirmed that Waterman is looking for the thirty eighth District seat.

Waterman couldn’t instantly be reached for remark Tuesday afternoon.

The beforehand introduced candidate for the thirty eighth District seat is Greg Judd, who’s Todd Younger’s state supervisor in Indiana. Previous to that, Goode was govt director of presidency relations and college communications at Indiana State College.
