Police say the video was sought after the suspect demanded money and fled in a Rock Hill bank robbery

Police are hoping to determine a suspect and acquire surveillance video after a rush-hour theft at a Rock Hill financial institution Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred shortly earlier than 5 p.m. Tuesday on the TD Financial institution department on Mills Park Drive, based on a written assertion from Rock Hill Police Department. The location is situated in a industrial space west of Interstate 77 close to the intersection of Celanese Street and India Hawk Street.

Rock Hill Police Lt. Michael Chavis stated Wednesday that officers have been looking for surveillance video footage from the incident. No cash was taken, Chavis stated.

Police stated the suspect who was in line on Tuesday demanded cash from the teller. After the teller requested for the account quantity, the person informed the teller it was a theft, police stated.

No weapon was proven.

The teller and one other worker bumped into the room and closed the door behind them, police stated. Police stated the suspect left the financial institution and fled the scene.

Officers stated patrol and CID officers responded however the suspect was not discovered. Police stated the suspect was sporting a grey shirt, glasses and a hat.
